Subject: Interesting School Study
Photo stills from contemporary films of 1938, probably put out by the production co. as the study questions are geared as a focus group for review of films rather than the study of film in general. The students in school back then showed way more sophistication than what is seen these days it appears (criticisms of the accent used by a character, as opposed to what it SHOULD sound like) and etc.

Enjoyable period information on famous Hollywood films. The historical essays maybe should be taken with a grain of salt, but in general, this book should interest anyone studying Hollywood film history. I especially liked reading the Connecticut high school committee's opinions about "Tom Sawyer" (p. 13) -- I wish I could read contemporary reactions like this to all old movies.
